These images are "cross-sections" of several memories. For each one I chose a specific theme or action ("blacking out" green growths, tracing fissures, or filling in rough edges, etc) and selected 5-10 photographs that I took in Phoenix, Detroit, or Sintra, Portugal and used crayon and tracing paper to highlight a specific element across the photos. I took a lot of pictures in these three places because they all exhibit different types of decay within different spreads of time and show how people interact with their surroundings and vice-versa. Many of the pieces from this series were made using the same photographs, but each product differs as the guiding action changes.
